Asakusa Kannon onsen has closed

Alas, the faded yet atmospheric Asakusa-Kannon Onsen right behind Asakusa Shrine in Tokyo has closed. It was a lovely spot with iron-rich, very hot water. It will be missed greatly!

Jakotsuyu has closed.
An OnsenJapan bather brought the sad news that as of May, 2019, Jakotsuyu has closed. A shame, as it was one of the few spots in the heart of Tokyo worthy of a good soak.
